On 8.-9. October we had the pleasure of organizing Ethical Challenges workshop at the University of Lapland, together with Research Professor Rauna Kuokkanen in Arctic Indigenous Studies and Research Professor Florian Stammler in Social Anthropology.
Kuokkanen is the chairperson of a committee working on ethical guidelines of Sámi research in Finland, and Stammler leads international network project Learning from Indigenous Community-based Researchers Engaged in Science around the Arctic.
During the workshop we discussed experiences and practices related to issues of storing, accessing and using indigenous knowledge together with researchers and archivists.
