The biannual conference, NordiCHI, is the main Nordic forum for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research. NordiCHI addresses the field broadly and is a meeting place for researchers from academia and industry, designers, practitioners, educators and others working within HCI and related disciplines.

As a part of the NordiCHI 2020 conference we are organizing the workshop: Design Sensibilities – Designing for Cultural Sensibility on October 26th.

The aim of the workshop is to gather together researchers, designers and practitioners that are working with cultural sensitive topics. The workshop aims to be a forum to present different viewpoints, challenges and lessons learnt, and offer a stage where these questions can be discussed with peers and new colleagues with similar interests. We encourage multi-disciplinary participation, and wish provide an opportunity to network. The workshop works towards recognizing the culturally sensitive contexts, topics and issues, and distributing the knowledge of best practices and experiences to prevent conflicts when designing for culturally sensitive topics.
